January 12-16

I hope you all had a really nice weekend. Our first week back after break went fast, but we were so productive, and had quite a bit of fun along the way. J This is what will be going on this week. If you have any questions, let me know!

Peek at the Week
Math- In math this week, we will be dealing with angles, rotations, and rectangular coordinate grids. We will also have a lot of hands on work with protractors. I am excited for all of the hands on experiences we are going to have.
Science – We will continue working with water this week. We will really be focusing on water temperature, and even have the change to build our own thermometers. A lot of our work will surround the interaction between masses of water at different temperatures and masses of water in liquid and solid states.
Grammar – This week we will finish learning about the progressive verb tenses by learning about and working with the future progressive verb tense.
Writing – In writing we are going to keep working with compare and contrast writing. We did a really great job with this last week, and I am excited to see what will come of our time together this week.
ELA – We will continue our work on biographies. We will not only be summarizing, but we will also be using the matrix to learn about different people throughout history.
