Here is what will be happening this week in our class. Please email me if you have any questions.
Peek at the Week:
Math: In math this week, we will be working with fractions and decimals. We will be doing lessons 7.5-7.8. This is a really great link that can be very helpful if you have more questions. I recommend clicking on "selected answers" which leads to unit resources like Background Information, Vocabulary List, and Do-Anytime Activities. Every Day Math Help
Social Studies/ELA: We will be shifting into week two of North Dakota studies. Last week we focus on the geography of ND, and this week we will transition into focusing on agriculture.
Grammar: Prepositions will be our focus in grammar this week. See the Terrific Tidbits for some great videos and websites that surround prepositions.
Writing: This week in writing we will be focusing on descriptive writing pieces. I really enjoy this type of writing because it really give our 4th graders a lot of practice with figurative language.
Word Study: This week we will be in unit 15: Schwa + r and r-influenced e in accented syllables er, ear, ere

- We have library on Wednesday of this week. Make sure to bring your library books.
- On Thursday, we will be having a field trip! I will be sending home an information sheet about our trip on Tuesday.
- Remember, our next book order is due Feb. 13th!
